At the end of the summer term 2011, our conductor and musical director, Michael Axtell, retired after 20 years with LMO. We are very grateful to Mike for all his support – the orchestra has grown and developed hugely under his excellent leadership.
As part of the selection of a new permanent Musical Director, we are pleased to feature guest conductors Cathal Garvey and Bjorn Bantock in the 2011/2012 season. We look forward to an exciting year!
