We play standard orchestral repertoire and our concerts are of a high standard. Orchestral experience and enthusiasm are necessary. There is no formal audition for string players but we usually suggest a trial period. Auditions are necessary for wind instruments. There are currently vacancies for various brass instruments and string players, also, a double bass can be provided.

We rehearse on Tuesday evenings from 7.30pm at Highbury Roundhouse. (So aim for 7.15pm)
Subscriptions
Membership subscriptions are payable each term or annually. The current subscription rate (revised from September 2009) is:
Annual Subscriptions - £210 (£105 concessions)
Term Rate - £70 (£35 concessions)
(Members who pay income or capital gains tax are encouraged to sign Gift Aid declarations to enable the Orchestra to reclaim from the Inland Revenue the tax paid on their subscriptions).
If you don't think you can manage the type of music we play, we are affiliated to another orchestra that meets at the Highbury Roundhouse on Sunday evenings at 7pm. This orchestra would be suitable for building experience in easy stages or if you would simply like to play on a Sunday evening. For more information contact EllingtonBill@aol.com
